INDSR Chairman Kent Feng to lead Veterans Affairs Council, R.O.C.

To take up new post as Minister for agency that honors those who have fought for the country

TAIPEI, Taiwan, R.O.C. – Aug 5, 2019 – The Institute for National Defense and Security Research has announced that Chairman Kent Feng Shih-kuan will take up the role as Minister of the Veterans Affairs Council, R.O.C.

Mr Feng, a three-star general and Taiwan’s former defense minister, was named INDSR’s inaugural chairman in 2018 to lead the launch of a national-level think tank dedicated to safeguarding Taiwan’s democracy and prosperity. Under Mr Feng’s leadership, INDSR laid down a solid foundation in its operations and in its research, pointing the way for its research fellows to develop policy thinking in the right direction.

“The Chairman always answers the call when the country needs him. He does not shy away from his obligation, nor his love for the country,” said INDSR Chief Executive Officer Lin Cheng-yi.
