Presidential Advisor and Four-Star General Huoh Shoou-Yeh To Lead Institute for National Defense and Security Research

TAIPEI, Taiwan, R.O.C. – Oct 1, 2019 – The Institute for National Defense and Security Research today held a meeting of the Board of Directors and elected Huoh Shoou-Yeh as its new Chairman.

Mr Huoh is currently a strategic advisor to the Office of the President, R.O.C., and a four-star General in the R.O.C. Army. He was Chief of General Staff for Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense from 2007 to 2009. He has served as a Vice Defense Minister and the commander of the Army Command Headquarters in his more than five decades of distinguished military service.

Mr Huoh will take up his new role immediately and succeeds Kent Feng Shih-kuan, who was appointed Minister of the Veterans Affairs Council, R.O.C., in August.
